Facebook Classifies Page Admins And Allows Post-Scheduling
Facebook social network has classified page admins according to their roles, permissions and gives an opportunity to schedule posts.
Brand page owners have received a new opportunity. Now they are able to give admins one of 5 offered roles with a certain number of permissions. For example, it will be allowed to delete spam in comments with no possibility to delete other admins or page itself. Thereby, multiple page admins are divided into manager, content creator, moderator, advertiser and insights analyst. On default all admins are managers.
Here is the following table with the 5 admin roles and permissions:
Moreover, Facebook also provides a new opportunity for brand page admins to schedule posts. This function allows to choose in advance the exact day and time for a post to appear in Timeline. It can be scheduled up to six months in advance at 15-minute intervals. Earlier such opportunity was accessible only within third-party apps.
Vlad Titov (“Vovlekay” agency director and “Internet Advertising Academy” professor) has expressed his point of view: “These service possibilities have been waited for quite long. Brands will be especially gladdened by roles and permissions differentiation. A company always wants to keep the main permissions for page managing for itself and to give usual PR-managers or contract agencies employees only moderator functions. And this is a right decision because any employee should not have opportunities for brand page “takeover”.” He has also added: “Second function of post scheduling will make community-managers and PR-managers life easier. There are emotional posts that are created right now and are worth also right now but there are also pre-scheduled posts that can be prepared in advance. In this aspect such functional service is very convenient.” At the same time Vlad Titov has also pointed out: “It is important not to forget that automatic post does not allow community-manager to forget about community members’ engagement into discussion. Otherwise, Timeline will turn into plan-lifeless desert.”
