    Yandex Updates Its Intent-Based Search Program

    Now Yandex's search suggestions service gives immediate answers to the frequently asked queries.

    Starting from May 23, 2012 Yandex demonstrates facts and figures in the Yandex’s search suggestions. That is to say, that now the user can see the answers to his queries before he finishes typing them in the search box. This function is available both on desktop computer and in the smartphones mobile version.

    Currently Yandex search has instant answers to the frequently demanded questions on the most popular themes. Brief and simple answers appear in Russian Yandex’s search suggestions. For this moment the replies include city and country telephone codes, national currencies, chemical formulas, names of authors and much more. Step by step the factual database will be increasing.

    According to Yandex Project Manager, Zoya Morozova, such development of intent-based search program is immensely useful for the user, especially for mobile searches.
