Perhaps, it will somehow surprise you but Microsoft has changed the title of its daily deals product. The brand is shifted to MSN. As you possibly know, the previous name was “Bing Deals.” Now it's called MSN Offers. We tend to think that it resulted from some confusion. One of our specialists has found it by means of his in-box.
I think, you all know that Bing.com’s deals site collects a lot of e-commerce sales data from many sources across the world. Microsoft may want to separate this content from local daily deals. We should still state that the local daily deals are still available from the Bing/deals site. ( Look at the screenshot)
Nevertheless, we tend to suppose that this change will bring even more confusion than it's to avoid.
Some other deal-centric sites such as Savings.com, for instance, attempt to be consolidated, “one stop” destinations, retail sales information and daily deals for consumer convenience.
This change seems to be a some kind of a metaphor for the difficulty that Microsoft has faced in managing the relations between Bing and MSN.
Well, we'll wait and see. Do you have any suppositions/predictions? Please, share your thoughts with BizzTeams!
