    Twitter Prefers Yandex.Fotki to Instagram

    Twitter social microblogging service provides an opportunity to preview images from Yandex.Fotki (Yandex.Photos).

    Since June, Twitter social service media partners are provided with an opportunity that allows wider range of possibilities in microblogging. Looking through such an Expanded Tweet, containing a link to a partner media site, users are able to preview the very content, video and photos.

    According to the social service’s representatives, this very function should have become available for users both of mobile service version and a web one, and also for official Twitter-clients on Android and iPhone. Image preview functionality is available for Yandex.Fotki (Yandex.Photos), however, it is not available for Yandex.Video yet.

    It is worth mentioning that expanded tweets functionality is available only for 90% of users. So, if a microblogging service considers you to be a bot then this very preview option automatically becomes unavailable for you.

    At the same time, it is worth reminding that this year of 2012 was marked for Twitter by a new cooperation phase with Yandex company, having received full access to the microblogging service data for its search process, and by closed access to its API for Instagram app, by partner relations official cut-off with LinkedIn social network.
