Mobile app developers can join beta testing of ad units for mobile apps on Facebook.
It looks like Facebook stocks dancing around $20 mark have spurred the company to hasten its mobile ad mission. And the clientèle Facebook is approaching now is the promiscuous community of mobile apps developers.
Soon they are likely to have the opportunity for growing their business with the help of mobile app ad campaigns. In fact beta testing is being done now and anybody interested in it can join, according to Facebook developers blog.
The procedure of creation and monitoring ad units is easy. Everything is done inside the App Dashboard. The developer has to select his/her app and ad campaign criteria: platform, region, audience age and genre, etc. After choosing the budget and payment methods the ad campaign can be launched.
The ads efficiency will be monitored. If the viewers click on any of the ads, they will be directed to Google Play or App Store for the advertised mobile app if it has not been installed on their devices yet. Facebook is also inviting developers to settle their apps into Facebook SDK 3.0 for iOS.
New tool will supplement traditional Facebook promoting channels, namely App Center, news feed, bookmarks and timeline. After clicking on any of the these channels the Facebook users were sent to Google Play and App Store 146 million times for the last 30 days, insists the company.
