  • News Feed Posts Saving Functionality from Facebook

New functionality from Facebook will allow saving friends posts in news feed for later viewing.

Just recently, Facebook social network has officially announced about its Recommendation Bar social plugin, and now one more functionality. It launches new functionality that will allow social network users to save their friends' posts for later viewing. Saved posts will be available on “Saved Stories” tab that in fact will display saved posts news feed.

Probably, one may think that this very option is close to Twitter social microblogging service “starred tweets”. “Saved Stories” are being rolled out into both Facebook mobile version and full social network web-variant.

At first new functionality has started being rolled out for iOS. So, the very pop-up window appears on the display, informing a user about new option. In order to save the post one needs to tap it in any place. The very “Save” button is below the post, next to “Like”, “Comment” and “Share” buttons. “Saved” folder is added to “Favorites” and shows all posts that have been saved by a user. It is worth mentioning that “Saved Stories” content is not available to other Facebook users.

Currently, the very functionality is being tested among certain amount of Facebook users. We will be keeping you informed of further updates.
