The Wajam company entered into partnership with Shopping.com and now will offer to its customers comparison shopping experience service with more than 3,500 merchants. Also, the traditional Wajam experience is saved and you will get data from your social friends.
'The biggest advantage of Wajam Social Shopping is that we are giving users reviews and recommendations from people they trust, instead of strangers,' Martin-Luc Archambault, CEO at Wajam said.
As Wajam representatives state, 90 % of people prefer to consult on friends or ask for a professional advice before purchasing. When Archambault was asked to give an example of a case when he's actually used social search for making a purchasing decision, he answered that lately he'd purchased a baby carriage after he'd read a tweet (he didn't define more exactly what tweet he'd seen) and also added that very frequently he books hotels by reference of his friends' online recommendations.
