    Google+ Has Got the Better of LinkedIn

    Google+ shows unique visitors and visits indexes increase, being in ahead of LinkedIn for the first time.

    Compete internet analytics service has recently published the results of social network traffic research based on June 2012 data (USA data only). According to this very information, Google+ social network has shown quite a good runup of visitors’ amount in June, having achieved the result of 31.9 mln. people (comparing to the same index in May that is 22.3 mln. visitors). Consequently, the runup is 43.1%.

    It is worth mentioning that since the beginning of 2012 Google+ social network has added 14.2 mln. people to its ranks. In December, the social network was able to boast only about 17.6 mln. people. According to the received Compete data, Google+ has been for the first time during its existence (it is worth reminding that June 28 was 1 year old birthday of this very project) in ahead of LinkedIn that has received the result of 24.6 mln. people in June. It is also very interesting but LinkedIn social network has shown even the same index decrease (comparing to May) that is 6.5%.

    Data of social services visitors’ amount in mln. people, including percentage ratio for the previous month looks as follows:

    Mobile and PC Traffic of Google+

    Compete data illustrates only USA audience and only the very one that accesses the social services through PC. If USA still represents 30% of Google+ world community, as it has been earlier shown in the statistics, then Google+ currently has more than 100 mln. visitors all over the world every month that access the network through PC.

    As far back as June Vic Gundotra, senior vice president of social business in Google, on Google I/O conference has announced that Google+ mobile traffic is larger than PC one. He has also added that Google+ social network possesses 250 mln. accounts, 150 mln. active users during a month and 75 mln. active users every day.

    It is worth mentioning that Compete service June statistics seems to prove the official service representatives information.

    Experian Hitwise’s Data

    Data of Experian Hitwise service that measures websites traffic also prove Google+ indexes runup. According to its data, this June Google+ has shown 0.85% from the USA social networks visits total amount, comparing to the same index of 0.63% in May.

    It is worth mentioning that Compete service shows unique visitors statistics and Experian Hitwise service shows unique visits statistics. Both show only USA audience and only accessing the network through PC.
