Tripl Will Create Infographics of Your and Your Friends’ Trips
Relatively ‘young’ social networking site for travelers Tripl has changed its specialization a little bit. From now on using photos, pics and description it’s quite possible with the help of the site to create a beautiful infographic of your travel history.
Although the social networking site for travelers Tripl was launched only in December of 2011, it has already refocused. While creating the site it was meant it would serve as a tool to link friends who might be travelling around the same place and it should be noted that it has been serving as this tool until now. A visit to the DreamIn accelerator situated in New-York made the company to refocus. From now Tripl offers you a possibility to create infographics of you and your trips, complete it with imagery, maps and fun facts.
Using Data from your accounts on social networking sites, including Foursquare and Facebook, the site creates a full image of a place you are going to visit or you’ve already been, completing it with information of your probable travel-partners. Moreover, it will be possible still to follow your friends’ location.
On the site there is an option called ‘travel log’. There your friends post information about their upcoming trips: place, view, history, photos etc. There in comments you can express your point of view concerning a trip and if you like the idea even to try to connect.
Of course, you can use other social networks, though, frankly speaking, it’s not the best way to be constantly informed about your friends’ travel plans. The Tripl peculiarity is that the service provides you with such information directly without making you link to other pages like Facebook or Foursquare do.
Tripl is planning to improve the quality of services it provides. That’s why currently users temporarily can’t post their trips. Although it is said that in a short time the updated option will be available again. The company is also considering a partnership with other social networks like Instagram, for example, and is going to start up its own app for iOS in the near future.
