  • Facebook Mobile Ads Perform Better on Android

Facebook Mobile Ads seem to be liked more by Android users than the owners of iPhones.

Facebook mobile ads may become the most powerful among the types of social network's advertising in the future. Big brands consider them to be much more popular with users than Facebook's ads on other platforms. And their popularity is leading to actual sales of products.

Speaking about smartphones, "sponsored stories" (and Facebook is offering them only so far) are liked by the users of Android based phones more. They click on them on average 10 to 55% more than the owners of iPhones, the Optimal study shows.

The conversion rate is appropriate: 28 to 109% more Android phones users interact with mobile ads than the users of iPhones. Furthermore, on mobile ads the Android users preferred the button “Like” most of all.

Although the popularity of Facebook mobile ads on iPhones is lower than that on Androids, the owners and users of Apple's smartphones yet clicked on ads more, than Facebook ads are clicked on the Internet.

One reason for Android superiority over iOS may be its functionality. iPhone users can only "like" a brand page, but can not meaningfully interact with it, say, view photos. The new version of iOS6 for mobile devices will be integrated with Facebook, and then power relations of two operating systems will definitely change.
