    Facebook social network launches new “Find Friends Nearby” functionality for mobile version that will help users to find their friends in the same vicinity.

    This function is very convenient and is able to simplify friends search process. So, for example, you have got acquainted with John Smith and you want to find him on Facebook, avoiding looking through accounts of hundreds of other users with the same name and surname.

    Still, there was no official announcement about this functionality launch from network representatives. However, “Find Friends Nearby” is already working in test mode on mobile Facebook apps for iOS and Android and on these apps web-version.

    This functionality is not the first Facebook attempt to launch alike service. Earlier network users were able, being in any public place to mark their presence on Facebook and see other friends, having done the same.
