    Russian Government Social Network

    Russian government is going to launch its own social network by the end of June.

    Russian White House plans for own social network creation were mentioned in “Izvestia” (“News”) newspaper, referring to Mikhail Abyzov (Russian Open Government Liaison Minister). According to the newspaper, this project will not be launched due to budget money but due to the private money resources.

    This new government social network will be based on already exist Rossiabezdurakov.rf (Russiawithoutfools.rf) data portal, according to the edition source in Russian White House. Its functionality will be traditional, like all social networks have. Users will be able to join the groups and discuss “social problems”, and also share experience on these problems solving.

    “We are interested in highest possible audience that we want to focus on local and municipal problems solving. We want to accent publically on stories that arouse negative emotions and resonance”, – quotes “Izvestia” an unknown interlocutor. Basing on discussion on this social network pages, Russian people will be able to prepare appeal to local Legislative Assembly deputies. Mikhail Abyzov department will interfere into the most resonant problems solving.

    This project has received convenient interface, understandable to any user, even new in Internet field. It is also reported that users will be allowed to load any content, including texts, photos, audio and photo files. Still, it is not specified how the right-holders aspect will be solved.

    According to Yuri Belousov (FinamShape CEO), government social network does have future! “At least this project has its own positioning: this is an ability to influence on people’s own lives improvement. People do like to complain, moreover, it is possible to complain directly to the top executives. Taking into account administrative resources, the project can show a big amount of “sign up”. It means that this social network can exceed “VKontakte” and “Odnoklassniki” within users’ amount.” He also does not know how this government social network will be able to become massive and think that the highest possible amount of users’ visits this network can be 100-200 thousand per twenty-four hours.
